Section 504 Dispute Resolution Policy
For purposes of identification, evaluation or educational placement of a child under Section 504, the District or designee (i.e. special education unit) shall provide a parent/guardian with notice, an opportunity to examine relevant records, an impartial hearing with an opportunity to participate and/or be represented by counsel, and a review procedure. Notification, record review, and hearing procedures are on file with Souris Valley Special Education Unit.

Any other complaint concerning Section 504 may be filed using the district’s discrimination and harassment grievance procedure (AAC-BR) or through state or federal law.
